First Annual Max Power AltMaker's Ball 2007
Saturday, January 13 From 10pm To 3am
The Empire Ballroom In Las Vegas, NV
From A Positive Film Media:
There's a big wave of young porn directors storming into town for AVN (Adult Video News) who are what punk was to arena rock. Johnny Rotten to Stevie Nicks. Suicide girls to Baywatch babes. And, they will be taking
over the night at the First Annual Max Power 'AltMaker's Ball 2007,' an after-hours-party following the AVN Awards ceremony on January 13, 2007 from 10:00 pm - 3:00 am at the Empire Ballroom (on the strip)in Las Vegas, Nevada. The general
public is invited.
'Max Power AltMaker's Ball intends to bring together the alt porn movement for those in the industry who thirst for a new
breed of porn stars and adult cinema or an alternative to the 'Baywatch-porn' that currently dominates the industry', according
to founder and award winning director of A Positive Film, Max Power.
Max Power generates a unique 'erotic-documentary' style within the alt porn movement, blended from his experiences of directing
music videos and filming traditional valley-style porn. The party's signature theme is similar; it integrates porn, punk,
indie, and disco.
According to Barbara Garcilasodelavega, producer of the Good Vibrations Amateur Erotic Film Festival 2006 in San Francisco,
'Max Power's work impressed our panel of industry judges because of his indie-inspired camera angles and theme. That is why
he was a finalist in the Amateur Erotic Film fest. He's truly a rising star.'
The evening's entertainment includes porn star photo booths, a burlesque show and an x-rated ticket raffle to win sexy prizes
and many more surprises. The line-up of adult and music industry celebrities will include female adult filmmakers such as
Vena Virago and Laura Beth from Naughty America and Eon McKai from Vivid Alt and Joanna Angel (www.JoannaAngel.com)
, Rob Rotten, Winky Tiki, to name just a few.
'I got into this industry because I want to highlight the erotic stories of the girls that I find exciting, and so the viewer
can participate as an active voyeur to porn, of sorts. My cinema is not for the chronic-masturbator that the industry mainly
caters to, but for women, couples, and people who have typically been left out of the arena,' says Power.
'I intend for this party to open up this idea again that porn is for the masses. Anyone who wants to have access to the
party or the industry can meet people, share their ideas, and change the industry. I want to help bring together the culmination
of today's alt porn movement,' Max Power concludes.
Dress to express. Must be 21 or over to attend.

About A Positive Film Media:
A Positive Film was founded in San Francisco in February 2006. Serving as an alternative approach to pornography APF strives
to stimulate an audience from a realistic viewpoint by creating fantasy from a tangible reality. In stark contrast to the
'Hollywood' and 'Baywatch' type of people that are most notable in adult videos at the current time, APF aims at including
people who are engaging, sexy, and from a more indie generation. APF was nominated as a finalist in the first Annual Good
Vibrations Amateur Erotic Film Competition in San Francisco 2006 for a short, 'Fuck I Wanna Fuck'. The New Romantics: Episodes
